About Us.

Altered Tails Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making spay and neuter services accessible and affordable for low-income households.

In addition to helping families care for their companion animals, we also provide funding support for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts throughout Stark County to help reduce the overpopulation of feral and free-roaming cats.

Our vision is to decrease the number of homeless animals entering local shelters and to promote the health and well-being of pets within our community. Through partnerships with local spay/neuter clinics, we’re proud to offer these essential services at significantly reduced costs.

Since our founding in 2022, we have positively impacted the lives of more than 900 cats and dogs. The ongoing support of our community is what keeps us moving forward and makes our mission possible.
